Training Continues Rain, Shine or SNOW

Pictured is Trigger, a German Shorthair Pointer from Jackson, Wyoming, that has been in our training program for two weeks. Yesterday we got some mid-April snow (where was all this snow during lion season!). We train in all conditions. We do this because we hunt in all conditions. We purposely keep a few white homing pigeons in our training flocks just for days like this because they are easier to hide in the snow.

We have a few spots available for this summer and early fall for training. We generally take dogs for 2-3 months but can work with you to suit your needs and what you are looking for in your hunting partner. We like to take dogs after they are 7 or 8 months old because we have found that dogs are mentally mature enough to handle the training. In some cases we have taken dogs when they are 6 months and they have worked out well. We train for hunting, but we also train for general obedience. Obedience is not only crucial in the field, but also at home. Contact Nick at 314-954-5424 or email at nickmuckerman@hotmail.com for more info.
