We have some beautiful pups from our Django/Sissy litter available. They were born December 3 and just had their tails docked and dew claws removed. We are taking deposits now. Call or text Nick at 314-954-5424 for more info or to send a deposit.
Karamojo’s Django Unleashed – Django was very trainable, has a lot of point and has been a pleasure to train and hunt. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to “turn it off” when not in the field. He is super chilled out off the field and all business when he is finding birds. Django is a son of FC Light ‘em Up Luke we purchased out of Colorado and couldn’t be more impressed. His pedigree is stacked with FC and DC.
Ortega’s Sissy Knows Birds: Sissy has an incredible bird drive and natural hard point. She gets it done in the field and loves people and attention off the field. She is a very natural hunter and her puppies start young and have her intense bird drive. Sissy has some of that tried and true Nolan’s Last Bullet blood and we have never gone wrong with those genetics.
Both dogs are natural retrievers, very trainable and excellent companion dogs. They should start very early. We would like to see these go to hunting or competition homes, but will consider a home with an active lifestyles.
These pups will be excellent hunters and companion dogs. They will be ready for homes 7-8 weeks from birth (January 20-27, 2016). We are located near Pocatello, ID.
This top text is from a client who bought a Sissy puppy from us last spring. His dog, Snoop, a Brittany, has been doing great in the field.
The bottom text I got today from our vet, Dr. Steve Haymore from Alpine Animal Hospital in Pocatello. He does our adult dog work and puppy work as well. We choose to have veterinarians take care of our pup’s health needs such as removing dew claws and docking tails. We feel this is the safest option and that our pups are in good hands. The text tells a bit about how we care for our puppies before they go to clients.
We have a litter on the way. Call Nick at 314-954-5424 (or text) if you want to talk Brittany gun dogs. (If you call, follow up with a quick text…Ill be in spotty reception on a hunting trip for a week or so.)
Someone backed out and she is for sale. She is a Kenya/Django pup (see details on parents below). She is available for pick up the day before Thanksgiving and the following week. My wife will be home this entire time, but I will be out of country. I will get texts periodically but will be hunting so reception will be in and out. My cell is 314-954-5424. My wife, Julie, cell is 208-251-9199. She can set up pick up if you would like the pup. Kenya puppies are very proven and exceptional hunters. If specific questions cone up on dogs Julie can’t answer, text me (Nick) and I will get back with you from a hunting trip to the South Pacific.
$900 total – $200 deposit holds pick. If she is still available during pickup window Nov 23-30) entire price can be paid on pick up if done promptly. AKC unlimited registration on pup.
I drew a decent Utah muzzleloader tag this year. I carried a Thompson Center .50 cal that I bought specifically for the trip because the tag took me 8 years to draw. Idaho does not allow a closed ignition system or 209 primers. Utah does. I got the rifle shooting pretty well and was glad i made the purchase. It was a torrential downpour for 85% of the hunt and somehow my powder stayed dry and the gun went “boom” when I needed it to. I looked at over 150 deer and at least 15 4x4s before taking this deer. General season in Idaho is not quite like that…at least for me.
Kenya Karamojo Bell JH – Kenya is a very proven hunter, AKC hunt test competitor and mother. She was very trainable and had a lot of point at a very young age. Kenya is the reason we purchased Stella and Rouge (full sisters of hers from different litters). Not only is Kenya a phenomenal hunting dog, but she has thrown excellent puppies, 8 or 9 of which we have trained at Cove Mountain Kennels. One of her pups, Boomer of Kenya, was trained and subsequently handled at an AKC field trial in and placed in an open division. It was not only amazing that it was his first trial, but he had a vet diagnosed upper respiratory infection at the time which certainly slowed him down. Kenya is a pistol in the field and a sweetheart at home.

The following is from a trusted friend and client. These are not Cove Mountain Kennels dogs, but we wanted to post this because we believe this is an excellent breeding from a guy very knowledgeable on super high quality Labradors. Be sure to contact Wes 208-540-1514 if interested.

I drew an Idaho bear tag for the western portion of the state this year and got this bruin. After having our twin daughters, bear hunting became something I had to put on the back burner. I’ve bear hunted very seldom since having our daughters. Bird hunting is always priority followed by hound hunting for lions and bobcats. While I can hunt birds and cats near the house, I had to travel at least 2 hours to run bears. Drawing this tag offered me an excuse to spend a long weekend after them. Pictured is Drama the redtick.
